Sorry for the long introduction. I was not writing this blog post to tell you about my golfing experience. But what I intended is to give some tips to the junior web designers from Myanmar where most of the web professionals learn by themselves without proper learning.

Once, I was in the way to meet with a client for a web design project, one of our junior web designer from our office was with me and we were chatting about learning. He asked me “some said learning is like jumping into water to learn how to swim. If you are learning with a trainer, you will need more time but as a result both from self learner and the one with the pro got same result. They learn how to swim but I prefer the one with less time.” he said.

And I told him the story about my golfing experience which I wrote previously. I told him that it was because of my dad who urged me to train with a pro rather than by himself I was always proud of my beautiful golf swing whenever I play and whoever I play with.

Like this story, I urge the junior web designers in Myanmar to learn properly. Learning properly does not mean you need to attend costly courses or use high end materials just to design a website. (Believe me I worked with my old pc for more than 5 years to work as a freelance web designer and even in the first few months while I work as a Creative Director in Revo Tech.) What I mean is whether you are self studying or learning in school, always keep in mind to study to be a pro and work like a pro.

Do not always think about the result. With the web design, the back ends which the clients or web site visitors do not see are also important. It needs to be clean, effective for the rest of the web design team and also for yourself when you take a look after some years later.

Design a website with which only you can handle is not a proper way of working in a team. You need to learn properly to work properly like a pro, a professional web designer and be fit in a design team.

The result is important and also how you work matters too.

When you hit the ball, always be proud of the distance you make as well as your swing.
